Not So Vital Statistics

Okay, this is far more information than many of you would ever wish to know! That’s fine, but it's here for those that do wish for additional information. Of course, I haven't revealed all my interests as a girl must retain a little mystery! :)

TV – I Claudius, QI, Have I got News for You, Buffy, Twin Peaks, Lost, Angel, The Tudors, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The IT Crowd, La Femme Nikita, 24.

Paper - Sunday Times. Have you seen the size of the thing? It lasts me the week!

Films - The Lion in Winter; Kind Hearts & Coronets; The Shawshank Redemption; Face Off; A Streetcar Named Desire; Gladiator; Dr Zhivago; The Music Lovers; The Hudsucker Proxy; Once Upon a Time in America; Once Upon a Time in the West; Most Hitchcock, etcetera, etcetera, ad infinitum!

Religion - Agnostic/lapsed Catholic!

Music - wildly eclectic tastes! Opera; trashy pop (good for dancing to); Gregorian chant; film scores, especially Ennio Morricone; 50s rock ‘n’ roll, Buddy Holly etc. Favourite classical pieces include Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D Minor; Beethoven’s 9th (no points for originality!) and the Moonlight Sonata; Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Theme by Thomas Tallis; Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana; Albinoni and so on.

Heroes - Churchill, Buzz Aldrin, Bruce Lee, Empress Theodora of Byzantium, Charles Dickens, Emperor Augustus/Octavian and The Duke of Wellington.

History – Ancient Rome, Renaissance Italy, British: Medieval and Victorian.

Literature – far too many to mention but quite keen on 19th Century classics and post 1950s SF, thrillers, historical novels.

DanceParticipating: Erotic, Tap, Modern. Watching: Ballet, Tango.

Theatre – Shakespeare, thrillers, musicals, quite a few of the classics.

Travel - Recent city breaks include: Rome, Venice, Prague, Barcelona and Florence.

Favourite food - Chinese, Japanese and European.

Miscellaneous - Walking in the Scottish Highlands and swimming in the Mediterranean!
